Boiler lockout problem

I have a fire. I put Coal/Wood on it! I set fire to it, It burns! I am warm!

It is the most basic of human technologies, and it works!

Modern Technology is worthless if it cannot do the job when you really need it to do it! :(

I have a boiler, I wake up and the house is warm and I have hot water
I have a boiler, I come home from work and the house is warm and I have hot water
I have a boiler, sometimes it breaks down and I have to call an engineer
At least I'm not chopping logs / getting fire wood in / digging coal / sweeping chimneys / cleaning fireplaces

What a stupid statement

if your boiler goes off that does not stop you from burning things in an open fire to get warm..

i do find turning a thermostat a lot easier to lighting a fire..

i'd still love a log burner though

Hi, I did not want to start new thread so I though I will ask here. I have the same issue. Water pressure was basically at 0 and my boiler went to lockout and I cant clear it. I already fixed the pressure but I red on number of forums to press the reset button, but I just cant locate it. Can someone please add some instruction on how to reset it? I tried to press that cross from page one, but it just jiggles and wont be pushed in. Thanks

That red cross looks like a drain valve of some sort to me, think of a stop valve on a garden hose, press the cross and water comes out.

the little red switch next to it in the guys pic looks like it slides to the right to me.

the op hasnt been seen since 2013 so doubt you will get an answer from him!

Most boilers that go into lockout is because they have overheated due to no water inside. Hense your 0 pressure. A lot of lockout resets are behind the gas side of things. I got a gas Safe guy to come out and reset it when it happened on my boiler. Check the manual first to find the location of the reset switch.
