Right back from holiday and it's still playing up. Think I'm going to go with The One's diagnosis. Found this video:

. Is this what you mean The One or is the relay a different part?

i meant change the whole receiver not take it apart and solder bits on

Haha, fair enough. That does seem to be the problem though (ie light comes on but no click) and a bit cheaper at £3.99. May as well give that a go first anyway I guess. Have a solder so should be a quick job.
