The boiler in my home is 2 years old and has never been serviced.
Are they supposed to be serviced every 2 years? what exactly is done on a service, is anything actually changed (ie like fluids on a car) just thought I would check before forking out for one.

its a combi boiler btw

I don't know if there is any legal requirements for home owners (although it might be required by your buildings insurance). Landlords are required to have their boilers serviced annually.

I don't think anything is changed normal, it's just a safety check.

How much does it cost?

Been in my pad 15 months, and haven't even thought about getting it done until earlier today as there have been heaps of boiler threads of late.

Usually about £70, though there are often special offers during the spring or summer when business is quiet for the gas repair companies because boilers are being used much less. Half price service offers are often available then.
