Is it possible for me to boil an egg by just using a kettle? Following a calories thread yesterday i'm going to eat fruit, a salad and a egg or two.

What would happen if i put an egg inside a kettle and turned it on?

It only works in a battery powered kettle.

What the hell is a battery powered kettle??? That website uses a standard kettle.

Is it possible to put an egg in water in a bowl then just put it in the microwave for 3 minutes? Or would it just go bang, firing egg all over the work microwave!

COurse it would work, I cannot see any rational reason why it wouldn't work in any kettle. You will just have to keep turning the kettle back on as soon as it turns off at boiling point.

But seems to make more sense just to boil them at home and eat them cold tbh.

That looks a right faff. If you have got a microwave at work why not scramble them?

Never put eggs in a deep fat fryer..... I nipped out for a fag at work the other day and returned to find the remains of an exploded egg in my chip fryer.. And the Pub owner stood there giggling like a school girl.

He seems to be getting very bored at work lately, have returned to find a variety of items cooking away on my overhead grill or chargrill. Think the best one was this!

He had taken the time to make a small pirate ship out of half a jacket potato, using cocktail sticks for masts and pasta for cannons, Not sure what the gherkin was for...

You don't need to keep turning the kettle back on.
Delia Smith's method for boiled eggs is to put them in boiling them for 1 minute and then turn the heat off and leave them in the hot water for another 6 minutes.
That does good eggs, but leave in for longer if you want them harder.

The only problem I can see is if the egg cracks, and leaves eggy mess in the kettle.
