Making another batch but looking for something different my recipe has been very simple with just onions/mushroom/mince and a bolognesse sauce jar, what else is fairly cheap to throw in?

1 tin plum tomatoes
Chop up 3 or 4 fresh tomatoes
Crush a clove of fresh garlic
Add some tomato purée
Add some herbs (basil, oregano, etc) and some salt and pepper
Add some red wine
Mix together in a blender
Simmer gently until thickens

Since I always buy in a jar, I'll try this tomorrow. How much is 'some' wine? half a glass?

I also have mince from one of our own bulls in the freezer, the steaks were awesome, so this should be amazing.

Mum had to buy an extra freezer to hold all the meat, 3 chest freezers (2 full of meat)

Passata
Beef oxo cube
Basil
Worcester Sauce
Paprika
Sprinkle of sugar
Squeeze of lemon juice

The above is my base sauce, other ingredients change to suit. Hot sauce never goes amiss!
