Bon Jovi - Southampton

I think I just cried a bit :(

What makes it worse is that I've actually got two recordings of me doing two Bon Jovi songs about 8 years ago :)

I'm trying to remember who I first saw Bon Jovi supporting when they first came here with their first album because I quite liked them back then. It may have been KISS at Bingley Hall around 84.

Its not "just Jon singing". The band arents in there at all are they? Isnt that like saying the best bon jovi album is one of samboras solo attempts?

Well I guess it depends on how much you value Jons part in the band. Personally I think Jon is 90% of the band :D

I personally don't differentiate between the studio albums and the other projects (I wouldn't count Samboras solo albums as the sound of Bon Jovi though).

Whats great about the Young Guns is not any one song but how the main themes are carried through. IMO it is the most consistant out of all the Bon Jovi related albums.

I disagree! :)

"Bon Jovi" and "Have A Nice Day" are the only albums that in my mind are simply good not excellent.

What gets me about Have A Nice Day is that the best two songs are the bonus ones "Dirty Little Secret" and "Unbreakable". Have A Nice Day (the song) was too similar to It's My Life and Last Man Standing was straight from the boxset. I really didnt enjoy "Last Cigarette" either.

The Best Bon Jovi Album for me is Young Guns II: Blaze Of Glory (even though this is just Jon singing). The best Studio Albumwould have to be These Days (for its dark tone) or Fahrenheit (the under-rated rock album).

last cigarette is the only track i didnt like on first listen now I think its great, the reason I love the album though is becasue it is a full album of BJ doing what they do best which is Rock.

these days dont get me wrong i like except for my guitar lies bledding which is pssibly the worst BJ song ever.

In terms of blaze of glory, that has a number of my favourite BJ tracks evenr and is in my opion a very underated album.

bang a drum
never say die
blood money
billy get yer guns
justice in a barrel
miracle

all excellent songs in there own right and definetly some of my favs.

but I locved have a niced day. but you are right it is similar to crush in many respects. go home is just a continuation of the theme set in just older for example but I still think its probably my fav BJ album since keep the faith, although overall I'm not sure which would be my favourite album, have to think on that one, but probably KTF, NJ or SWW.

Oh you have to add Santa Fa on that list! :)

I find it hard to rate Living On A Prayer, You Give Love A Bad Name and It's My Life now because I've heard them so many times. I've listened to SWW too much for my own good!

Whats everyones favorite song then! Mine would Be "Hardest Part Is The Night". I just love playing that song full blast! I think I'm alone on that being my favorite one though lol.

Just older was an anthem though.. in my mind. I love when they relate to past songs.

I wish I had SWW here... I thought we had it at the flat. Looks like I'll have to grab it next time I'm home.

My own fav songs?
These days
Dead or Alive
Dry County
BED OF ROSES! (personal reasons)

Though I've prolly missed a stunner...

my favourite song by BJ is easy.

Blood on Blood.

absoloutely love that song for old friendship reasons ans well as it just being an absolute cracking track.

oh and what was said about Just older I agree its an anthem and probaly in my top 10 Bj tracks, however so is Go home as I love the theme of getting older and moving on and reliving the past.
