Gathering a few noticable stone chips on the bonnet of the corolla - thinking of getting it resprayed and then placing one of those film strips across  Are they actually any good and has anyone used one? :)

Car bra's are for the lose tbh.

Oh and for reference, car bra & do not go together, ever.

Don't think he's talking about the silly bras, you can get a clear protective coating to prevent stone chips, a bit like vinyl.

car bra's are pretty cool providing they are on the right car...

that is not cool, gives me the impression the owner is into BDSM or something, it is also not a car bra, they cover the whole front. The number plate is not cool either.

You've opened a can of worms up now Wayne, I tried to explain this but unless you're a dubber you don't understand :p

those car bra things what the point ?

protecting paintwork that cant even be seen anymore ?

If they're used as a fashion item, they are doing exactly that.
If you're used as an actual protective cover, they're only used in the winter when there's salt and more crap on the roads that will damage metal bodywork (don't need them on bumpers as they're plastic).

I thought they were for preventing stone chips (making cars look foolish is hopefully a secondary function)? You get stone chips in the summer too...

on a more serious note, I think the film stuff is made by 3M, it's very good you can't even tell it's on until you get up close and see the edge of the film (which can build up dirt, film is pretty thick stuff).

Im a dubber and see these across the front of dubs all the time, especially rados and all i can say is  'insert vomit smiley here!"

A few small stone chips is nothing compared to the mass of black across the front of a car, if the bras had been colour coded i could understand it but other wise, no!

I've got to lay off the booze. I finally got used to my R32 double vision in every photo Waynor posts on here, now its become triple vision :(

Ill be buying myself a Supra TT within the next year hopefully, being a dubber doesnt mean that im blind to other makes of cars, just that i have a a deep interest in VW's, preferably the older over the new.
