You're only distributing if you keep the torrent files after you finish downloading. A lot of people delete them as soon as they've got the files they wanted.

The entertainment industry needs to embrace the internet. They need to bring forward release dates, phase out regional release dates in favour of global ones, and either reduce prices or make their content available for free.

It's important to remember that illegal downloads have helped to bring about iTunes, Spotify, and on demand video.

You start uploading as soon as you have downloaded any section of the file. So no you are distributing a few seconds after you first start downloading.

Bono is a ****. He thinks he is so righteous but seems to make more money from charity than he actually generates and pays less tax than those less fortunate than himself.

Don't like his music much either.

tax avoidance might be legal, but if you are trying to be some kind of do gooder, not paying it isn't really on, even if you disagree how the government spend it, not paying any or very little when people with less pay it all isn't going to win you many friends.

It's just very hypocritical.
