hi all. i am trying to help fund my degree, which my student loan was (for last year) 3000quid for the course and 3300quid for the room. my room wasnt even en suite and was 30years old without refurb (so it was crap) yet i was still 400quid down, JUST for the room and the course, ouch.

i put 50quid into my william hill account and a few hours later I had 430quid from blackjack, but I couldnt withdraw money as my withdrawal had been frozen for 3days due to new user or something. Anyway, I then added 25quid thinking I could get the monthly bonus and of course I had already got the new user bonus and was not eligible for it. anyway I lost all the money, as this was my first attempt and i simply did not know when to stop playing.

I wasted a bit of money on ladbrokes aswel, but won some money on red lounge casino. overall i am 550quid up :D :D

So, whats the best way to bonus bag?? I now do this.... Put money in and bet big with the free bonus (no 1quid bets to get to the wager requirement as this takes hours of free time and really lowers the pay per hour ratio). if I win, great! if I loose, all i have wasted is the bonus money, and I withdraw the original money.
Anyone like to comment on my procedures?? any tips??
im thinking of hitting skybet vegas casino next.

thanks :)

no grant :(
both my parents work but cannot help me that much. they do what they can but they have mortgages to pay. if the government had said when I was 1year old that i would have to pay for uni then they could have saved but they simply wernt given enough notice. my parents earn to much I get no free money, and my course is arguably the most full on at loughborugh (aside from aero engineering) as im doing mech eng, so not much time for part time job either.

idont go out more than once a week at uni, as Im 400quid under JUST to go there and study let alone living (hall was catered btw).

If he/she is like me, they got a student loan of about a grand per term, and tuition fee's were paid directly to the uni.

And yeah, accomodation sucks.

I thought that with these new tuition fees you don't actually pay them until after you graduate and it comes off in your student loans payment?

yup you are right, but 6300quid isnt enough to go to uni each year, hence why I need advice on bonus bagging to ensure I have the funds to get through. paying it back comes in several years time lol

Why not just get a job to pay the way?
i am working full time in all holidays to make ends meet. what peopl edon't realise is that engineering is full on (dont even have half days off) and is very very hard and therefore consumes most of my spare time during term time.

unlike at least 50% of todays uni goers im not doing 5hours a week social sciences at an easy uni such as derby or (wait for it) burton university

90% of the time when playing with deposit bonus's, your playing with your deposit before the bonus.

So if you deposit 50 and get 50 bonus, if you then lose 50, itll be your 50 and the bonus will still be there (you need to wager it)

just read that in terms and conditions on one casino. So if i deposit 50quid and say get 50quid free and losoe 50quid The 50quid i have lost is my deposit. its basically the same as having the bonus awarded and immediately withdrawable after the wager amount is done.

Look. If you want to go scraping a few pounds off bonus deals then totally avoid online betting sites.

Why the hell do you think bookies and casinos run bonuses like this?

Because they know full well the vulnerabilities of people and the temptations which bedevil them.

You won £430 and lost the lot (including your £50 and £25)

QED. Mission accomplished, period, semi-colon, full stop.

If this is not a classic example of why people should avoid bonus blagging then I don't know what is.

In summary - Gamblor will get you in the end.

*Disclaimer: I know full well that there are people who have "earned" £400, £1000, £6000 in a year. The fact that a handful of people do that does not excuse the fact that tens of thousands end up losing their bonuses, their initial stake and in the vast majority of cases money they didn't want to lose in the first place.
