Bonzi Buddy

Yeah I remember Bonzai Buddy. Same era as Gator, Imesh, Comet Cursor, WhenUSave, Hotbar, Cool Web Search, Newdotnet... and so on.

Is it just me, or is it a trend that you don't hear as much about spyware nowadays?

VirtuaGirl, I remember when that came out. Everyone had it. :p

Was slightly embarrassing having a friend go on your computer only for them to be greeted by some woman showing them what she had for breakfast because you forgot to uninstall the bloody thing.

Who remembers Go!Zilla? Used it on dial-up, the roar sound when you fired it up. :D

So many old bits of software, some of it trash but it's nostalgic nonetheless!

DC++
Kazaa (Cringe!)
ICQ (eh-oh!)

Also, who remembers pasting strings into their DIal-Up connections that made it looked like they connected at a faster speed, reality was it did sod all :D

Go!Zilla was awesome. Couldn't have survived without it. Dial up in India where my download speed of 6 kB/s was better than most and constant disconnections made it a must have.

Don't forget eMule, Gnutella and my favourite piece of bloatware ever: AOL 7.0.
