Boom!... Need a new mobo and CPU :(

Well it seems like my mobo has finally decided to die and being a AM2 socket I am looking to buy a new CPU as well as a new mobo to replace it.

I am going to be using it for video rendering as well as games and general word etc usage.

My current components I will be keeping are:
BFG 7950GT
2GB Giel PC6400

Budget is a max of 300 although I can probably stretch a little bit. Nothing too overkill though.

Forgot to mention I will be clocking (COoler time!) and I was thinking more dual core seeing as I'm staying on XP for a while.

You could change the E2180 to a E2200 and get a bit more O/C...

Maybe not that board but a P35 for aorund that price should do...

As to the cooler and fan it's up to you but I like that combo

Yeah but if hes not going to do mainly gaming and light use, not 3d rendering/audio work, dual core > quad for value, so yeah a nice dualcore and a P35 would suffice.

this might forfill yourneeds, its getting quite the grass roots support on this forum in places and the newest bios provides it with a lot of functionality/stability.
