KMX 200 <drool>

First ever bike I had was a KMX 125. I loved that bike and I was gutted when she died. I look on various websites every now and again and think of buying one as a winter hack. I used to work 25 miles from where i lived and in the winter snow it was a lot of fun riding to and from work.

Aye, they're awesome bikes. I bought this one for £400 as a project.

She runs nicely and has already had a full engine/carb rebuild except for that big end bearing that needs changing. Ordered a new chrome plated big one exhaust for her, new wiring loom and then she'll be good for the road.

Also gonna mod some kdx plastics to fit on her and do a proper paint job with a compressor.

Might start a thread actually, depicting the progress.

The outer race and cage could have escaped when the casting broke apart; if the bearing had seized I'd expect it to be on the end of the shaft still.

You really can't tell can you, ide love to have a damn good poke about just to satisfy my own curiosity as to what exactly has happened, other than the blidingly obvious, "something" has made good it's escape. :D

i hate it when they mention its had a new sleeve (kmx125) it should be re-nikasil plated not sleeved

i have a minter only 7k miles,wish i had a 200c head and carb
