Boomerang Rentals.

Boomerangs service is certainly faster than it was but they still need to sort their site out like - it's really poor.

And also update their system more.

I added 2 games with a 'S' time frame on them so slected send me any from my top 3. I put a game with a red 'L' in 3rd so I wouldn't get that one and get one of the other 2.
Well...they sent the one that their site says wasn't ready to ship at this time...

So basically that entire system means nothing at all.

Guess I'll just have to select top 1 only from now on.

Had this problem with every rental site I've ever used - someone needs to design a proper system to sell to these companies as clearly none of them know how to make one that works.
 
yeah I had thief (which was marked with a green s) at the top of my list when my game was returned yesterday. didnt get it sent yesterday and now its changed to an M. Bit frustrating having to wait days for something new to be sent out. Im used to lovefilm sending stuff out instantly.
 
I'm just on Unlimited 1 at a time. Didn't find Priority any different. I've also been on the cheapest package and that wasnn't any slower for me. Only upgraded to get PS4 games.

These sites keep telling you to add plenty titles, but when you do you just get sent all the ones you didn't really care about much.
I had Ground Zeroes and Second Son up and they sent me Darksiders 2...I only put that on there as it said it wasn't available so I figured it'd mean I'd get one of the other 2 for sure...
 
IM on priority 2. Always use top choice and cant complain yet. Saved me a lot of money so far and has saved me buying games such as knack, Lego etc that I just want to play through and be done with.
 
Suppose it won't be to bad as the site claims you get points for any days you are waiting which can be redeemed for free months. Not sure how many points you get get day as you need a lot for a free month.

Either that or their system for updating those is a few days out of date at least.

For me it just seems a bit random.



But I've had a free month during my last time with them and it only took 3 months of being with them to get enough points for that. So yeah at least they offer that system so if their service is slow for you, you don't really lose out overall
 
I put Tomb Raider in the post box yesterday and within the last hour I've had an email saying they've received it and are posting out NFS: Rivals :D.

I tell them I don't get any games sent, so they say put more on my list because I only have 3 on there - but there isn't anything more I want. So I do it anyway and despite selecting to only get from the 3 I want, I keep getting sent other games - and games according to their site that are not even in stock.

They have just sent out Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme which was at the bottom of my list as I have no interest in it...it's only there as they told me I had to add more for it to work properly.

Calculating the amount of lost time, it'd be far cheaper just buying 2 games a month, then the same day filing for Amazon trade-in. You get 10 days or so to send the game so I can finish it before then and get 85-90% of the money back instantly.

Cheaper than £10 a month to get loads of shovelwear

Boomerang provide a decent service, dont populate your lists with games you arent bothered about, and then if you have a period of time without a game (discounting turn around time) then they provide points to offset payment of future months.

lol well i'll be sending it back this weekend.

I enjoyed Gundam 3 version, and played the Vita one and liked it - just more of the same though so not bothered about really playing this one much.



Boomerang can be good, but it can be bad too - but then I've found that with all rental services. I have similar issues with Netflix where months go by where there isn't anything I want to watch on it.

Maybe subscriptions are just not for me as I don't like a big variety of games these days - well, I do 'like' them but I just have to be very selective with where I allocate my time so I only do everything I love to do, not things I just like to do.
I think I just have too many hobbies/interests.



Doesn't explain why they sent a game that was 8th on a list where I had it to only send one of my top 3. Who knows, I'll set it to top game only and see how thait fairs for a bit.


I just need to get mega rich then I'll have time for more things. lol
