hi there

my mum and dad have ntl going through one of these

Linksys WRT54GL Wireless-G Broadband Router/4-Port Switch

now I have assigned static IP's to each machine and opened some ports.

however in certain places of the 3 flloor house the signal is weak or poor, looking at one of the these to boose the signal/area in these weak areas

Linksys WAP54G 54Mbps Wireless-G Access Point

are they easy to set up, is it what I am looking for, do I have to point the machines gateway to this and not the router, so many qestions

cheers

if you install a 3rd part firmware such as Tomato or DD-WRT it will give you more features including the option to increase your "wireless Transmit Power" to give you a stronger signal.

Yes very easy,

It comes with a cd,
go into windows pop the cd in.

It will autorun detect the adsl wireless router then detect the repeater then assign the encryption.
