Boot a CD image from a Flash Disk?

After removing some virus from a laptop, when i try to log in, it logs off again instantly. Ive looked on Google and apparently i need to edit a registry value, but laptop has no floppy drive and a broken cd drive.

Ive found some software to do this for cd's but my only option is to use a flash disk.

Is there an easy way to this?

according to that u need a bootable floppy disk or CD.

No worries on this one, i removed the cd drive and slammed it back in as hard as i could and it miraculously came back to life

Thought it was totally dead!

Easier ways of making a bootable USB drive...

Google:

hpflash1.exe and HPUSBFW_BOOTFILES.zip

hpflash1.exe is for HP usb disks, but this utility works on other brands as well.
