hi
trying to install Windows 10 on MBP

using boot camp assist it's telling me i need at least 40gb

i have a 250GB SSD with 60GB free....

If the space isn't contiguous, it will get the ache. Not sure how that works with SSDs though.

i had Parallels with windows 7
but it will flat refuse to recognise my windows 10 .iso
i also bought a windows 10 DVD and it just says 'no OS recognised'

running out of ways to create this

What version of Parallels? I span up a Win10 VM a couple of weeks ago And it was perfectly fine. Well, as fine as Windows 10 can be

ok it was parallels, upgraded it to ver 11 and it recognised the disc and .iso

do your 'live' tiles in the start menu show anything @Feek
i don't really need them but strange it thinks im not connected to a network when i browse with edge

OP will want at least a 512GB SSD to run a dual boot Mac or Windows via a VM.

On a smaller drive, you’ll be forever managing capacity between the partitions.
