Hey guys,

I have just finished my build, but cannot get it booting. I have checked my manual to translate the led indicators, and it says BOOT , either no detected or failed? :(

I tried my Nvme drive in both motherboard m.2 slots, same result?

Any quick help much appreciated!

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the exact issue here, but are you getting this message after post?
ie, no operating system installed?

Can you boot from USB and install your OS from there or can you not even get to that point?

Have a look at the settings and see if CSM is on. Maybe try disabling that.

what is CSM?

Can’t get to that point, there is nothing on the monitor, but everything looks ok? I mean all leds, fans, keyboard, mouse etc.. all on.

My hot take:
The boot LED is a red herring. I think you are getting that because you have no OS installed.

The actual issue is no display. What CPU and GPU are you using? Is display cable definitely plugged into GPU card?

it’s a 10600k and a gtx 1080, it’s definitely in and I even tried the onboard graphics but nothing..

What PSU are you using, and have you plugged in both ATX power cables into the motherboard?
Remove and re-seat your RAM, try with one stick and see if that gets you anywhere

Tried everything now guys..I’m stumped, because, I checked connections, re set ram, tried different hdmi/dp cables..

Here’s a strange thing, I put in a W10 usb and rebooted, now all lights are off, even the boot light, and it won’t let me soft reboot, so I think it’s in the menu now to install windows! Just no picture!

1: Try turning the monitor off and on to get it to re-hunt for the signal. Repeat this a few times during boot up.
2: Spam delete key to get into BIOS incase it's booting so fast that you aren't getting into BIOS and facing some boot up issue affecting output. Are you sure you are not getting a black screen with tiny blinking white cursor somewhere?
3: Try onboard WITHOUT the 1080 plugged in.
4: Swap the 1080 slots and try again.
5: Use only one stick of ram (also ensure you put the ram in the right slots as per the manual)
6: Assemble everything outside of the case and try again

Hey guys,

well, I took out the gpu and used the internal gpu and booted to bios, so I tried the lower gpu slot on the motherboard, and nothing. So the gpu is buggered!

Now it’s to get a new one in this climate :(
