Pcs normally become slow with the more things installed on them correct? if i had a separate HDD for windows 7, would it make it feel like a fresh install even if the 2nd hd full of games/programs etc ?
My current 640gb hd is VERY slow but its only got 3gb left. I have to do a full reinstall of windows because no matter how many things i delete i dont seem to gain any hard drive space. I un-installed crysis and only got 900mb free.

I was considering a SSD as boot drive but i cant afford one.

Unless you go SSD there's not much point in having a drive solely for a Windows installation but having more free space than 3GB would be better.

Grab yourself a 1TB Samsung F3 and use your 640GB as a second drive for media/data/less played games.

You'll find the F3 much faster on a fresh installation of Windows.

Run CCleaner and see how much garbage you have on "Temp Files", "Internet Explorer Cache" and "System Logs".
