Recently my dad and I built a new computer, which has been working perfectly fine for months, until today when it crashed to a BSOD while I was playing Black Ops III.
Upon restarting, my computer became stuck in a boot loop, giving the following different errors when rebooting each time (and one or two more I may have forgotten);
UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE TRAP
SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
MEMORY MANAGEMENT
IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE
KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
I tried using my dad's PC to create a USB boot drive to repair windows, but upon switching the USB to the primary boot drive, the boot loop still occurs. What's weirder, is that the boot loop still occurs even when the HDD is unplugged from the computer leaving just my boot drive - which confused me because surely there can be no problem with windows if I'm only using a freshly installed windows media tool with no HDD plugged in?
We tried checking all connections on the computer, finding no connection issues, and when we looked on the internet all the fixes that we found either required you to be able to start windows in the first place or use a media tool, which we cannot seem to be able to use because it still blue screens.
Any help would be extremely appreciated, as my friend, my dad and me are all lost for ideas because we don't understand how the errors are occurring even without a windows installation.
Here's my spec and my external hardware in case it helps;
MSI Z270 SLI PLUS
i5 7600k
GTX 1060 6GB
16GB 3000MHz DDR4 RAM
1TB SATA HDD
2TB Seagate Barracuda External HDD
Razer Blackwidow Chroma
Logitech G502
Acer Predator GN246HLBBID 24"
Thanks in advance.
