ive had some system probs

turned out it was motherboard shorting out

but now ive another headache

when i boot i get a message :

nvidia boot agent
pxe-e61: media test failure, check cable
pxe-mof: exiting nvidia boot agent
DISK BOOT FALIURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

my raid stripe array is healthy and set to boot

im a bit vexed as to what could be causing it, i really dont want to have to format and reinstall

anyone got any ideas ?

thanks

As above, check all physical connections. Are you using IDE drives? Check they're configured alright.

Boot up order? Very strange for a motherboard short to cause that. hmmmm  glad its fixed now.

You know what, mine went through a phase about a year ago where it would just switch off dead after 10-20 mins and re-boot itself.

its fine now and i dont know what happened to this day
