Boot time (SSD)

Hey, I am just wondering if anyone can help me on where I disable the (Marvell) Sata Controller on my motherboard (I heard it helps boot performance).

Motherboard:
Asrock Z77 Extreme4

it should be in the bios somewhere(that's assuming that board also has marvll sata ports?) not sure

you should see two sata controllers one for intel and one for marvell

Yeah I have Intel & Asmedia I think it is but I just cannot find them in the bios.

It may be referred to as external SATA or something similar.

I'd check the manual your mobo came with! Or get one from the manufacturer website.

Ok thanks, ill take a flick through the manual.

Just another quick question, I am not sure if anyone will know but on my mother board there is a fast boot option and a ultra fast (i know the ultra fast is for windows 8 systems). Basically I am wondering does the fast boot option disable USB or?
