Boot Up Issues

Ive had bios problems after running CHKDSK on my C drive, and been unable to boot my pc. After many attempts I got a screen that said something along the lines of 'Youre PC didnt start properly' and it gave me options to start in safe mode or last good config, my question is, how do you get that screen to show, as Ive not had it show before and it solved my problem.

Tap F8 as the PC boots.

Don't see how you have BIOS issues after running a chkdsk, it only affect data on the disk so it'd be quite unlikely to trouble your BIOS.

Thats what I thought but after taking an age to reach the desktop it kept giving errors re the bios
