Boot Up Problem.

Royal mail must be employing oafs and vandals!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Just got the phone to (another e-tailer) as they had rejected my RMA because the board 'had marks and signs of visible damage'. Well that's a load crap because it was good physically order when I dropped it off at the post office.

Bear in mind I sent this in the orignal box and wrapped in bubble wrap yet this managed to happen in transit!

rma it directly to gigabyte

(that's if you have no luck with the postage firm ect) if it was sent insured you should be ok

I can't send that Gigabyte, for as good as their customer service is you can't expect them to do anything with that.

I sent it Special delivery and my good are insured up to £500.00, as soon as Scan send it back to me I'll be going to post office to make my claim, I already have the form filled out with the receipts etc on my desk.

The problem I have is there isn't many new Z77 board around anymore, for a replacement I'll most likely be looking at 2nd hand or B Grade.

yh true, good job you insured it,good luck

I sent the board to Royal Mail for investigation a few weeks ago along with the orignal packaging anyway I've just got back from my holiday to find out RM have sent back the board and rejected my claim saying basically it wasn't packaged correctly.

On Monday im going to write a letter and send them an invoice however ive been looking around and trying to find a replacement z77 is getting harder and harder so I'm tempted to invoice them for a replacement z87 and cpu of equal value. I doubt they will pay so they so this is looking like a small claims job.

do you have any proof of how you packaged it? photos etc? only asking because it will end up, your word against theirs and it wont stand up IMO.

Freddie1980 just reading what you said here and before I got down and saw the name of the e-tailer I knew it was them, I have heard of them rejecting goods in this manner and starting to see so many complaints about them rejecting goods either for CID (customer induced damage) or as in your case blaming the delivery people. I'm starting to think they are causing the damage so they don't have to deal with RMAs. It looks strange the damage on that board as the back looks like it had a screw driver run down it and the front like someone stood on it..

I would seriously take this up with Royal Mail and it was sent signed for so I don't believe Scam would have signed for it if they saw the packaging so damaged and I don't believe Royal Mail would have sent it on to Scam in that condition and not have contacted you to say there has been some damage to your parcel by their service. You need to basically find out if the mail man that sent the parcel on to scam remembers if there was a badly damaged parcel that day and who signed for it at scam, because the person signing for it wouldn't have signed for it if it was in a bad state.

Thanks for that post as that's some very good points you make, the scratch down the back looks like someone put a craft knife or a screw drive over it, very hard to do when it's boxed up and in plastic bubble wrap I might have to take this up with 'Scam' again.

I have prove, I don't have any photo's of it wrapped up but I have before and after pictures of the board showing it's condition.

you have sales of goods act, items should arrive and be delivered in a satisafactory condition

so take plenty pics and tell them youll go to trading standards,if you paid via debit/visa card you can also claim back the money through your bank, you would need to ask your bank
