Bootable USB using Ubuntu

Dear all,

Has anyone had any experience using a USB pendrive and turning it into a bootable Ubuntu 7.10 drive? I presume it's not as easy as just copying over the installation files!

Presumably you'd just need to install ubuntu to the pen drive using the install disk.

It would be quite slow to load though. You'd be better off with one of the small distributions.

It wasn't so much as running Ubuntu from the USB drive, just the ability to boot and install from the USB drive
