Hi,

Just tried installing Bootcamp, latest version. Created the drivers disk no problem, partitioned the drive no problem then put the XP disc in when it asked...it restarted and then presented me with a message that it couldn't find a bootable device. The XP cd was in.

Any ideas? I'm back to OSX now, one partition...all is well. I'd really like XP as an option though.

Go through the bootcamp stuff again, and hit start installation. If the disc is still not detected, try rebooting (with the disc in) and holding down the C key, this should enter a bootloader and there should be something like "Windows Setup" as a boot option.

have your tried the xp disc on another machine? It may be that the disc is not bootable, or the boot selector on the disc is damaged.

Are you using an XP upgrade disk or a full install disk?

When I tried it I only had an upgrade disk and it wouldn't work... it needs to be a full install disk I think.

I've tried both the upgrade and full versions here at work, both volume licences if that makes any difference (i'm sure it won't). Will try with my retail version at home tonight.
