Booting from an eSATA drive

I'm tired of using caddies and/or opening up my PC to swap out bootable drives.. so i was wondering if (after i upgrade) it's possible to easily boot from an eSATA drive?

Are there any known issues (will be running XP)

That depends on how it's attached and if the controller will BIOS/EFI bootstrap.

Do new mobo's actually list "eSATA" in the boot options?
