My Dad recently got a SSD for his C: drive, he's pleased with it, until I told him that it could go even faster on SATA3, his motherboard only does 2. I'm just wondering can you boot from these things and use them with your SSD boot drive?
However, is there any point in getting a SATA 3 controller card? They never seem to reach full SATA 3 speeds so best to keep it on the native controller. Still would feel fast due to fast seek time.
judging by others who run ssd on sata 2 then there is still a massive difference. your call at the end of the day...you want faster get one if ya happy dont
