Booting Issues

Does anyone else have issues with their PC booting once it completes Windows updates? Its been fine untill now. It installed 6 updates and once it switched off, I powered it on and it just hung at the BIOS splash screen.

Powered it off, disconnected power for 2 mins and sits at the 'loading operating system' and does nothing. Keyboard, mouse and external drive, all have power.

Wish id not built my own as its nothing but grief.

What operating system are you running?

Not had any issues with regards Windows failing after updates, can you get into safe mode?

Try a windows repair?

Try resetting CMOS and start all over again.

Windows 7 x64.

Seems to be working now, last time this happened, it was an SP1 update as MS had changed it to be automatic with Windows updates not manual, it killed my boot sector and had to repair.

Although it's working, I was having issues with it not responding at the post screen, so DEL was non-responsive as well as F9 for quick recovery.

Thanks mate, all ok for now. Will disable Windows updates untill I can get to the bottom of it.
