Yeah, does sound like he's figured out the password... Hidden camera (or phone left recording) pointed at keyboard whist you've entered the password once maybe? USB keylogger? (cheap-ish on the likes of aliexpress)

Found it out. A phone put to the shelf right above the PC, covered with some papers to keep it hidden.
