Hello,

I am having some problems with my recent build.. this is the first problem I have encountered.

What happens:
When I start up my computer, I get a black screen that says
'BOOTMGR is missing
Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart'

When I restart... nothing changes.

I can get into the BIOS fortunately.

Can you see you HDD in the BIOS? Do you have a floppy drive, is a disk inserted? Do you have a USB drive plugged into the PC? I believe the latter two will also bring you to that screen depending on boot order in the BIOS.

Thanks for reponses.

I disabled the USB in boot and swapped my HDD priority with the SSD priority.

That seems to have solved the problem...

Thanks a bunch guys!

One final question (to avoid making a new thread):

I have an MSI P67 Mobo. Does it matter what ports my SSD are connected to?

Connect it (them?) to the Intel SATA3 6Gbps ports.

These are the top two white ports.

Don't use the bottom two white ports as these are for the Marvell controller.

Slightly confusing colour scheme.
