Bootmgr missing after SSD clone?

I've got a Dell XPS15, and I've just added a Samsung 830 SSD to use as a boot drive, keeping the original mechanical drive for storage.

I've cloned the drive using Macrium Reflect, but when I try to boot from it, I just get the 'Bootmgr is missing' error.

Any quick fixes please? I've googled the error, but they all say to boot from a Windows 7 recovery DVD, which I can't do as I replaced the DVD drive with the SSD! ;)

Thanks for the replies, I'll see if I can hunt out a USB pen.

I used Reflect as most people seemed to have good results with it, will look into True Image if I can't repair it.

makesure you select the ssd as first boot device in the bios aswell,or else it will try booting from the storage hdd hence missing boot manager

Yeah, I've done that, it boots fine from the mechanical drive, but not the flash drive, that's when the error displays, haven't wiped the storage drive yet, as I want to make sure the SSD's working properly first.

I've had that with Macrium Reflect when I let it decide what to copy for the clone, it was fine when I had it make a bit for bit copy. And make sure the clone is the only drive connected when you first boot.

Easier said than done, that means I need to take my laptop to bits again, lol! Edit: no I don't, undo 4 screws and pull the caddy out!

How do you do a bit for bit copy? Thanks.

Fixed it, re-cloned the drive after selecting the more accurate cloning in the advanced options, booted up from a Windows 7 USB pen, repaired system startup, sorted! :D
