I just finished building my new computer and I had installed windows 7 32 bit on the harddrive through my old computer and I thought I could then install the 64 bit easier that way (the operating system would be more recognised?) and I formatted on the harddrive the 2 partitions and then tried installing and gets stuck at expanding windows files - 0% then I restart the computer and comes up with "bootmgr missing restart ctrl-alt-dlt"

What can I do? I've tried windows repair and it's not working?

Why did you restart the computer?

You might need to wait a while at "expanding Windows files".

In Command Prompt type bootrec.exe

and choose one of the 4 options to repair boot manager

bootrec /Fixmbr

bootrec /Fixboot

bootrec /ScanOs

bootrec /Rebuildbcd

If it gets stuck on their for any longer then you could have a faulty RAM module.
You could run memtest or you could just take out a stick and try then swap it round.
