Partially UE's fault, partially Gearbox's fault for turning all the UE settings up to eleven. Like why on earth would this game need nanite implementation?
Hardware Unboxed did a really good breakdown for anyone looking to squeeze some more frames out of this.

People should stop pre-ordering games (and hardware) and wait for reviews when the game is released but no, everyone wants it the instant it's released these days. If people waited they wouldn't be disappointed or angry at what they got.

I wait at least a year for this kinda stuff.O paid naf all for most of my Borderlands titles. I enjoy them immensely but I am not paying £60 for ANY game.

Gearbox's PR/marketing dept must shudder in terror every time they hear he's written a tweet haha.

He says it's not poorly optimised, well that only leave poorly coded then

It's comical, the game runs like crap unless you have a £1000+ GPU, doesn't look notably better than BL2 even if you do, can actually look worse than BL3 if you don't as you have to lower so many settings, and to top it all off the physics are noticeably inferior to BL2 and TPS due to the lack of PhysX

Yep - here's me hodling for BF6. Even with the open beta I refuse to drop the £60 until I know what experience I'm buying.
