Depending on his age, Borderlands is probably a safer bet than the (slightly) scary Bioshock 2.

Hey I bought Borderlands, and just wondered if anyone wants to do some co-op maybe tomorrow? My steam addy is manicmike84 aka kruxxie. If that doesn't work then just email my trust. Really want to get this going with some people as I havn't played any FPS on my pc for a while.

I recommend people go to this page and turn the intro movies off, increase your FOV and turn mouse smoothing off as well:

when I use the FOV increase change my framerate goes banana's and syrup like, I get stuttering really bad

I have bought the GOTY edition. How do I add the DLC on steam? There just doesn't seem to be option for it on Steam. I am liking the game so far. Shame you can't create your own unique character.

dlc's are automatically installed

but if u right click on the game, there is an option for "View Downloadable Content" which will list all the dlc's you have

its also in the properties menu

Ahhh right! So how do I go about playing them? Or do I have to fin the main story first? Most importantly, how do you get onto the Duke access???

Once you've unlocked the teleporter in the main story you can teleport to the DLC areas. But you need to be quite high levels to survive in any of the areas anyway.

The Duke access is if you right click borderlands in steam and click the view game CD key. The Duke beta access club key is in there. Go onto the early access club website and sign up with that key.

yes, Borderlands is a proper shooter; lets hope that Rage is like this and not like Fallout 3.

to be honest the guns in Borderlands are too powerful, especially the Detonating Cobra, but i'd rather this than the crappy guns in F3.

I just dont know how they made the guns in F3 so bad, or changing your weapons so slow/ health etc. the only way to play F3 like a decent shooter is to use cheats
