Borderlands

Got this for my birthday a month ago, and finally giving it some time, but I gotta say, it' snot doing much for me. Got it on 360 and currently don't have a sub, so playing SP, but I really can't be bothered to sub to live right now as there's a ton of SP games I want to get through.

So, anyway, how long does this game have after taking out Sledge? Kinda hoping to get through it soon and flog it off.

I'm definitely not going to finish this in my week rent, might have to get it out again in a couple of weeks. Just killed Krom but it's got to go back on Thursday :( Up to level 27.

I've really enjoyed it but it annoys me that the weapons aren't accurate. Being a sniper seems pretty pointless as I'll line up a shot on a stationary guards head only to have it miss :/

Once you have a silly powerful sniper rifle with element damage on it. You will use it a lot. Yes sometimes it don't hit but the times it do out weigh the times it don't I've done some massive damage with my sniper rifle.

siren is rather awsome especially with SMG's. The sniper i thought was pretty cool since he gets a bonus to pistols as well so that made for some fun revolver fun :p. The soldier is admittidly a bit easy when hes using a shotty and some of the crazy bonus's he gets for that. Ive never tried brink so cant comment on him, think he gets bonus's to rocket launchers though which never have really intrested me.

I just got this yesterday, currently level 21 with the hunter. Does anyone else find aiming very unresponsive? It may just be that im used to call of duty but it seems that if you're aiming off slightly, and go to adjust it with the analogue stick, nothing will happen until you tilt it more which moves it too much. Annoying me at the minute quite a bit...

Having said that i just discovered a beast of a sniper rifle so accuracy isnt everything i suppose :)

Men, I think this game is more a pick up and play game. You're all taking it too seriously if you complain about not getting the perfect headshot. :D

Im not talking about a millimetre perfect headshot here lol. :D I mean if the sights are aiming to the side of an enemy i.e not going to hit him, and i go to move to say the middle of their chest, you have to move the analogue stick quite far before the scope actually moves. Usually ends up being too much and just ends up clear the other side of him. :(

I just think if you're aiming at an enemies head with a weapon like a sniper rifle and it doesn't hit them then there's something wrong there. I don't think I've ever played another game that does this. They should have used the Deus Ex system where lower accuracy weapons would be harder to keep the cross-hair still, that way you'd still get some skill as supposed to dumb luck. I use an SMG for my ranged attack now, simply becuase it fires enough bullets that by dumb luck one will hit the head.

Question on the addon packs,
What level are they for? and are they worth having?
Been playing a couple of days now im level 26 is it worth coughing up 1600 points (which is allot this early in a games life i think)

I believe the Zombie Island DLC scales relative to how far you are in the story whereas the Underdome is based on your current level.

The Underdome is a nice challenge and provides decent loot but no XP whereas you appear to get a fair amount of XP on the Zombie Island.

It's up to you.

Im just at Old Haven now, level 26 and holy poo its just gotten a lot more difficult! Aiming seems to have improved however that may just be me getting used to the game :)

Hi guy's,

How are all of you doing this game? I’ve tried a Solly and Brick but i get to like level 15 ish and i get owned left right and centre! Am i doing something wrong? I get frustrated so much I give up and turn off the 360.

How easy is it to get 1000G?

This is a game where the side quests are not really optional. You have to do them to level up. If you don't level up, you won't be able to beat the baddies as they get stronger for each quest in the main story. I found the game easy with this method.

Do any of you keep your alien guns? ive found three now dont know if i should sell em or not i find them pants

I sold mine as I thought they were useless but as someone here pointed out, the more you use them, the more skill points you get in their use and they become better - such as recharging quicker, etc.
