Borderlands

I have been playing nothing but solo and have not had a problem.

Learn what your class is best at and use it, aka, hunter can delivery powerful punches but only at a slow pace, combined with its 28 second blood wing skill, its not bad, as long as you keep moving between hits... Hard to explain, but you will get it.

Just to let you know that it's worth going back to areas, even if it's just for some cash!

I ventured back into Skag Gully earlier, just needed some money really before I head into Fyrestone.

Skags really are no problem to me anymore, not with Lvl 20 Soldier, a Shotgun that does 11x55 Damage (6 shot capacity) and a fairly quick fire rate and reload time. Came across a few special Skags, dispatched in two rounds. They also give BIG bonuses! So it's worth re-visiting if you have time. Also, the Boss character from Skag Gully respawned, he went down in two rounds too, and again left big rewards. His weapon was rubbish compared to what I have now, but still worth a few bob.

Also, when I took out the special Skag (again!), it gave me an Explosive Artifact for Brick, even though I am a Soldier. No use to me, but worth a couple grand. Weapons I was expecting, but to get an artifact by just re-visiting is pretty cool!

Yea, you will find if you do every single side mission in the first area you will easily reach 20 (by first area, I mean the badlands and gully)

Feel free to add me, I've got a couple of chars on the go so should have something in your level range. GT in sig. I'll be on in 30mins or so, don't mind doing some co-op action.

Managed to find a decent sniper after a lot of hunting around on my soldier char. Legendary. Fires 6 bullets at once! :D

Me wants a legendery SMG =(

Go till what his face... Ummm, the first town you are in, come out of it, turn right, along the road, you come to a gap in the rockface on your right leading down to some guy, he drops a legendary SMG 9 times out of 10, but it's useless :)

Oh, would just like to point out that dmg is not everything on weapons, for example, the 'x' on weapons like 10x 8dmg = 80dmg so is very powerful.

Or, if you had 2 SMG's with stats as follows:

First:
Damage: 10
Accuracy: 67.4
Rate of fire: 5.7 rps (rounds per second)

Second:
Damage: 8
Accuracy: 67.4
Rate of fire: 15.6 rps

I would go for the second as it is firing almost 3 times as faster, same accuracy and is only 2dmg per round less. So overall, it will be a lot more powerful than the first.

Obviously, in the higher levels the difference will be easier to spot, some snipers will be 950 odd dmg on 2 but with the difference of rate of fire, ones with high rate of fire will have less accuracy and ones with slower rate will have high accuracy.

Remember, it's not all about dmg, the different stats also affect the play of the weapon.

That when we was playing? i found a blue one but was utter crap its fire rate was so slow was dire shouldnt you be at work also :P

Ha yeah. It was rubbish, no regen ammo even the damage was a low 65 I have better purples than that ha.

I am at work! It is rather dead at the moment because of half term. Thought I'd browse the forums for a little while. ;)

Sorry I didn't join you last night, I was pooped and literally heading to bed just as you invited me.

No worries mate I sent you an xbl message this morning. :)
