OC the crap out of it, be happy for next 1year or so without need of having quad, start saving money slowly. After 1 -1,5year sell it, add saved money, buy nehalem +ddr3 + gforce/radeon xyz god knows what it will be by then, OC the crap out of it -- rinse and repeat

Getting quad just because it might be supported better in 1 or 2 years is imo a waste since with the current frequency of new technologies incoming you gotta change your rig at most every 1,5year to keep up. And as an overclocker I guess you would like to put your hands on newest technologies more often as well
