I don't think Dave is that worried really.

If my understanding is correct... Dave loses/wins the next election, then Boris finishes his term as Mayor and the leadership contest happens. Dave has been in charge of the tories for over 10 years at that point, so he'll feel he's had a good innings.

In fact Dave and Boris might well have a chat to see if Boris will make it easier on Dave and Dave in turn will open the way for Boris as PM.

I'm wondering what people in other countries thought about the UK having an election between two joke candidates for mayor of the capital city. It's a rather weird situation.

Boris is a good candidate, he'd be a far better PM than Cameron!

Yes, that's how he signed off! What a don.

Glad I voted for Boris, he comes across to me as the only honest one there. Decent sense of humour and somewhat seems like a normal bloke for normal people (yes this has to be taken with a pinch of salt - he's not perfect obviously).

I'd happily vote Boris for PM if given the opportunity.

Would he though? I don't particularly like Cameron, and Boris is far more entertaining. But surely Boris would still be on the austerity route since that's conservative's agenda. Even Boris' buffoonery probably couldn't make this conservative manifesto any less hated by a huge part of the country.
