Borked 9800Pro Artic cooling?

turned on system this morning and nothing but beeps from the mobo re-seated everything still the same. Replaced G/C with old 9600 pro and works fine any suggestions to why my 9800Pro has just died..cheers

Lots of reports of 9700/9800's overheating and dying. Many with Artic Coolers. Never had a problem with ones I've had in the past but I think the one I have at the moment 9700p does gaa gaa after a few hours gaming. Perhaps if the case temps are a bit high the cooling isn't enough on them.

My old 9600 pro died in exactly the same way, had a artic cooler on it.

Mine died and the started working afetr being taken out and then replaced
