Both Shift keys not working?

Hi guys,

Is there any obvious reason why BOTH my laptop's shift keys aren't working

I'm fairly certain they were working okay the last time I tried them...

I tried a usb keyboard and that worked fine :confused:

Bring up the On Screen Keyboard - if Shift works with that, then it's not a Software fault. Most likely hardware.

Is sticky keys on? Press shift five times quickly.

Nope, they're off. My usb keyboard works fine so I'm suspecting its an issue with the keyboard...

I tried the keyboard in a live cd environment and the shift keys didn't work in there either

-is this a laptop? if not, try it in another pc
