Bottled Water

i can taste the difference between bottled and tap, but i just drink tap anyway.

used to buy a few bottles of asda cheapo stuff for convenience of not leaving my pc to go to the tap :p its tap water but saved the trip!

DEFRA has a list of recognised mineral water sources.

http://www.defra.gov.uk/food-farm/food/standards/recognised-mineral-water/

My 12 bottles for £1.99 from Aldi aren't listed. :D

Although they do only say "taken from the MAPLE spring", "Bottled at MAPLE spring, Fradley Park, Lichfield"

Oh well, tastes like tap water. :p

I have a 1ltr metal bottle that I use for work and refil from filtered tap water at home but for other persuits like going out for the day, traveling, sports I'll use plastic bottles that I've bought and then refil. I have no problem buying bottles water when out.

Water is water imo. There is a difference in taste, but I personally prefer tap waters taste.

I may be crazy, but I'm almost certain the water from my bathroom sink tastes different from my kitchen sink. Maybe the pipes are full of limescale or something, I don't know!

The gf refuses to drink water out of taps in the bathroom and stuff.

I recall a science thing I went to when I was in year 7 or something where they had an 'east anglian' water guy or something, and he said that they have to make sure water from anywhere has to be suitable for drinking, because when it comes into the house they have to know it's safe for drinking. Hence I happily drink from most of the taps...

Water to your kitchen tap has to be direct from the mains, most pre 2000's houses the other taps are frd from the water tank in the loft... still from the mains but unless the tank is sealed (probably not) dust and **** can get in. Old tower blocks have to have these checked every 6 months incase of rodents dieing in the water or excessive crap gettign in the water, when did you check your water tank? ;)

Only buy bottled water if you have no water and are desperate. Otherwise fill up an empty bottle of whatever (probably pepsi or something), or get a decent, hard, durable, plastic bottle. Or if the water tastes hideous *coughhighwycombecough*

I don't buy it cos it's a rip off. Although the tap water in Manchester is horrible compared to when I was living further north. Luckily we have free water at work so I get the good stuff without paying for it.

Should try it in London mate. Can't get a good brew in London for love nor money. Further north you go the better they get.

I only buy bottled when I can't be bothered to find a bottle at home to fill up or when I don't have one on me. But when I do, it's ALWAYS bloody Buxton, not that I consciously choose it or it tastes any better, I just grab a bottle and it always turns out to be Buxton!

I buy Buxton if I'm out and thirsty, if I drink water at home its filtered tap.

I used to drink like 2 litre bottles of fizzy pop in 3 days or so maybe less and i never buy fizzy when I'm out, I'll either buy water cause its cheaper or bottled squash like ribena

Use Brita filter at home.
Sometimes buy water when I'm out and have a quench for it.
Use cheap Tesco bottled water (£2.10 for 12l) for my coffee machine as it's low in TDR and calcium meaning the machine doesn't get much scale and it's good water for the coffee.
