I have a AMD Phenom X6 1090t black edition cpu, OC'd to 4ghz, would that bottle neck a r9 290?
I didn't think it would, but the the CPU is starting to get a little old, so wanted to get another persons opinion on it.
Also, there's something that's been confusing me, might be related, since I got the r9 290, when I run certain games, they refuse to go beyond 60fps (one of the games being skyrim) and the gpu will downclock itself, in order to maintain 60fps, but in some games, it will stay at the the max clock.

My first time playing it. It looks like devilishly good fun i have to say. Got it via a cd key site on a pre-order special for £10 as well.
, be it Intel or AMD, an i7 3770K will be one of the best solutions for preventing bottlenecks though.
