You got it wrong....Why not just drive slower over the speed bumps?
I know they are a PITA but they are nevertheless there for a reason!

You meant to go as fast you can so your car will jump over them...

Then just wait
At least you aren't planning on only changing the fronts - wait until you can do all 4 then you will only need one alignment, drop links will all be changed at once, top mounts if it needs them etc
The favoured setup on the MPS is the Bilstein B8 with H&R Springs.
Amazon with prime was dirt cheap for the springs the last coupla times I've bought a set. As for the shocks, ebay.de usually gives the much better price
iirc B6 if yer using standard springs, B8 if lowering.
The B8's are shortened shocks so stock springs may not fit properly.
Unless of course the standard 3 is any different to the MPS suspension setup wise.
Please don't go doing it half arsed, If yer lowering and changing the suspension do them all. If you've not got the money now then just wait as it doesnt sound as if the suspension is knackered.
Do bear in mind that with the B8's you're gonna be lower, even with stock springs afaik.
It's not really gonna stop the bottoming out.
My 6mps is on B8s+H&R I go over most speedbumps fine, still bottom out now and again tho. then again you intentionally lowered it, so welcome to the go slow bump brigade
After changing them give it 2 weeks or so for them to settle then get a full alignment too![]()
I plan to do it myself.
It needs new drop links???
I'm on eibach pro springs. Which are a 25mm drop.
Would b8 be a good choice? I cant find any b6 for my car.
Let me guess, you remapped it aggressively, and drive it like its an MPS when it isn't one?
That'll be why the clutch is slipping at only 48K!![]()
Being slightly abused and low mileage used would explain the other issues too, like the DPF
