Bought a sata to ide convertert, does not work? help

sata to ide converter small board, plugged everything up but when my system starts it hangs? Do you need to remove the cable select/master link?

thanks Roll did it last night, and its working fine. With most of the new mobo's only suporting 1 ide channel, this is a good way of using your old ide drives.
