Bought 34" Samsung Ultra-Wide with a cluster of bad pixels - refused RMA

I don't see the issue myself... if your unhappy with it just return it under DSR like I did for the exact same problem... They wouldn't change it for me as a faulty set as they said it was within limit so I just returned it under the 14? day return period and got another one that turned out to be perfect. I think what you have is just the scuff mark under the screen that mine had. Mine had that and some dead pixels so went straight back.

Sorry, is there an acceptable limit on dirty crud under screens now? That's a new one. What next... your monitor can have 5 human hairs, 1 piece of excrement, a blob of jam and 2 small insects... it must have more than this to be able to return.

would be a lot better than the food regulations regarding the above

You have a limited amount of time to do that. Note to self don't order one of these anytime soon from OCUK as it might be yours..

That's only going to happen if you buy a B-grade monitor. OcUK can't sell it again as new.

Having said that, I purchased my current monitor - 27" IIyama 2560x1440 - as a B-grade. Not a thing wrong with it. :D

They shouldn't sell it as new, whether they do or not is another matter entirely.

always buy things like this online always as you have more rights with buying goods over the internet. if they refused just get you credit card company to reverse the transaction :)

Return it under the 14 days and get a refund then order a new one from some where else . just a little clue buy It from the uk biggest tax avoiding company , customer service is amazing , no questions ever asked. Cheers , hope you get good one next.

Sorry to hear you've clearly been given a dud there Earlof, your video clearly shows that it's something *in* the panel, not dead pixels or some-such. OcUK should take it back and send it back to Samsung as it's obviously a manufacturing defect. Hopefully you'll have another go, :)

Well the monitor is now on its was back.
Not sure about the turnaround times for the RMA.

One thing to note for all, bearing in mind the cost of the product, the DPD courier (a nice chap) has put it in the almost empty van, in the middle, with absolutely no restraining straps. That rather heavy box will be flying from one corner to another freely.
No wonder it came to me damaged in the first place.

I would've thought that there is a form of fragile goods handling since they know OC well. But nope.
I questioned the courier regarding securing the goods but it was a "meh..." attitude overall from him.

Dear me....
