Bought a new Corsa and....oh....

Is this what they mean when they tell us that car-crime has reduced in Middlesbrough - they've stopped nicking whole cars and now just take the front bit!?

HAHAHAHHA! just made me laugh out loud in the office xD

Someone did this to my old Fiesta, when we were parked up and watching the footy.

Got back to the exact same scenario as the OP (except my car was 6 years old at the time). Reported to the police and found out it'd been taken by some *****, for parts

That sucks!

Reminds me of when I bought my first Impreza, was new off the lot 05 WRX STI in white and some bugger went at the drivers door lock with a screwdriver the night before I was due to pick it up!
Only damaged the lock which got replaced but I was going to walk away from it anyway and instead the dealer gave me loads of freebies including fitting an OEM short throw shifter kit and boost gauge that I wanted but wouldn't pay extra for initially!

Wonder if this guy can do a deal for a better car :p

Surprised the interior is in tact still as mentioned.
Does the corsa vxr use the same recaros from the Clio 200 and focuks RS mk2?

If so, they are easily the best reclinable seats i have sat in bar the recaros in JPs GTR :D

Actually, further to my previous post about this being quite big round here - looking at it again it seems that one in the OP is actually from round here. I know exactly where that is, about 2 minutes from where I live.

So they took front lights/grille/bumper, and wheels.

They left the wing mirrors, rear spoiler? I presume the rear bumper and they left the interior.

Ok.

No, as far as I know they are made especially for Vauxhall, the RS/Clio/Megane just uses a rehashed version of the Sportster CS seats. The Vauxhall's are based on the CS' but it's much fatter and better padded.

Both are seat-porn and I've been after a set for my car for yonks but can't justify the cost

One of the reasons this sort of thing happens is for stripping the wiring looms out of the vehicles. Apparently the copper and other metals can be melted down and sold on easily.

Could be a blessing in disguise. The buyer should take it as an omen and go and spend that £23K on something far, far nicer. I know it is a limited edition time thing but i can't fathom why you spend £20k on a new one of those. Imagine all the 1 or 2 year old used approved cars you can get for that amount of money.

I wouldn't pay that kinda £ for one but having driven a Corsa VXR I can see why someone would. They're a hoot to drive :)

No lock-nuts on the wheels?!

Locking wheel nuts can come off in a matter of seconds, it would have taken longer to take the bumpers off.

There's some very nice trick parts under the skin and they get good reviews, but yeah ... it's a very expensive Corsa.

On no doubt, i have been tempted with one for myself in the past. They sound like great little cars. I just could not bring myself to spend that much £ on one though.

***** scum

Although that dealership will be making so much profit on that car they'll probably be able to replace all them parts and sell that car on and still not loose out
