Bought an OC'd system from OcUK

Bought the Ultima Vanquish and arrived today. Idle temps range between 55-57, and when I run Prime95 stress test that value spikes up to the 90s (i wisely stop the test quickly!).

Is the high temps due to the OC, even though it's very high when idle?

Any suggestions?

Was it all prebuilt?
Seems odd to be spiking like that, would expect OcUK to have stressed it well to test the OC before shipping.
What cooler comes with the build? It sounds like its maybe come loose in transit and the connection is dodgy.

Temps definitely very high, double check the cooler just in case the cooler has come loose.

Might be worth posting in the customer section.

Thanks for the replies.

It was all prebuilt. It came with the Noctua cooler.

If i was to reseat the cooler would that make the warranty void? (i've been v.careful to leave the bios well alone!)

If its a new system I would be giving it back to OcUK, they should fix it.

Sounds like they haven't checked it thoroughly before shipping it to you, very strange.

Just to make sure i'm looking at the right thing. Using OCCT to do a stress test, am i looking out for the individual CPU cores? Rather than the TMPIN2 temp?

Your looking for individual core temps

Double check with Real Temp and Core Temp.

Have you checked the hsf is screwed securely in place and hasn't loosened in transit? If it hasn't i'd just contact ocuk as you bought it as a prebuilt system. Unless of course you're confident enough to reseat it.
