Hi guys, I have been testing my new pc I just built yesterday. Everything runs well but there is one thing I overlooked with RAM. I bought Corsair DDR5 Vengeance 6400 cl32 2x16. And it says it's optimized for intel.
In my bios it shows speed of 4800 even less in cpu z https://i.postimg.cc/Twj6c1qJ/1.png. How should I configure it? I played some games and ran full memtest86 with these default setting and it gave 0 errors. I'm amateur at overlocking. Should I consider returning for different ram?

edit: I turned on a-xmp profile on in bios and got 6400 cl32 on auto. Is it safe to run it on my system? should I do another memtest86 with it on? https://i.postimg.cc/5tqktRBn/2.png

AMD only guarantee 5200 and most people buy 6000, so I'd do some testing, if I were you. Though, if you don't have any data on the PC that you care about, then maybe "game stable" is good enough.
Thanks,

I'll do another memtest86 later today with A-XMP on. It takes a few hours so gonna do it before bed, I'll post the results here in case someone else runs in similar problem.
Any other tests I can run or things I can look up on this matter?

I just turned A-XMP on in bios. Do you think there is any issue running it on amd system? Does this look good? https://i.postimg.cc/5tqktRBn/2.png
Nope no issue what-so-ever, im running intel optimized DDR5 on my AMD system

This is one of buildzoid's overclocking videos, relating to the new AGESA/BIOS AMD released recently for higher overclocks:

Thats what ive followed, best I can get is 7400mhz out of my kit at those settings, I did tighten up a couple of the timings which Buildzoid mentioned could be possibly tightened though, I guess its the IMC thats the problem for me as the RAM kit is 7800mhz.....but 7400mhz is testing faster than 6400mhz at CL30 (it wont do CL28)

Memtest pro is still running and plan on running overnight.

Probably not unless it was a junk kit of RAM.

RAM specified for use with Intel will run specific subtimings which will be somewhat optimized for Intel chips but should work with AMD.

I can't see the RAM having a timings or speed profile so aggressive that it fails to work with AMD and definitely works with Intel. What if you get a poor Intel chip that can't handle the aggressive profile? Some Intel chips had terrible memory controllers.

It'll also matter less if you're manually tuning your RAM.
