Bought something new for my camera !

50mm F1.8, probably a Canon one judging by the slight edge softness.

With that amount of distortion? Not a chance. Much wider than 50mm. Could be a 17-55 2.8 at the wide end, or if he's particularly flush, a 16-35mm f/2.8L?

Edit: Judging by your site you're very into your photography, which would have to mean L glass :p So i'm going with my second suggestion.

Well it's obviously a zoom then so the a shot at the other end of the range, we'll be able to tell then. :p

Narh, its a lens :)

Only 1 correct answer so far :p

If it is what I think it is you'll want to check for focusing issues, I've read multiple reports of badly focusing (...err...) samples with the response from (...err...) the manufacturer being that a run was assembled without spacers and though they acknowledge the problem they won't be making an official announcement. The main check is whether the zoom goes past infinity as it tries to focus. If it's good to go I'm sure it's a great lens and I'm tempted by one myself.

What do you think it is ? :)

If you've seen the EXIF then it is very easy to tell :p
