Boxing

Commentator 'It's close on points', what ****** fight are you watching you idiot!!! Maidana knows he may get robbed on points since this Broner hype machine was suppose to bring in big money, he knows he needs the stoppage to be safe.

Well I suppose Broner has proven he has a fairly decent chin, he took quite a beating and was still standing at the end. If they give this to Broner, it will be a disgrace.

already has unless that was sarcasm

:p yeah I know he does a bit of rapping, he's worse at that then he is at boxing.

Had he not built all this hype around himself as 'the next Mayweather', I don't think people would have been too critical of him. He proved today he has heart and a good chin, but unfortunately like I said before the fight, he doesn't carry much power up to welterweight and he gets hit far far too much. Maidana was proven, he's never been stopped and he's been in some wars with some big names, he always comes to fight. This for me was the fight where Broner would have to show exactly what he can do, and he's proven (as I already knew) he's nothing like Mayweather because Mayweather would destroy Maidana.

After all that smack talk he comes out with, I'm not surprised Broner ran off without doing an interview. I think Mayweather may be quite keen on facing Maidana now to show how it's suppose to be done, Maidana deserves a big pay day tbh, he's a great champion and thoroughly deserved the win tonight.

To the boxing fans who missed it, and there are quite a few boxing fans on here, you missed an absolute treat! Broner for once, was lost for words.:D:cool:

Broner said via ESPN “I’ll tell you one thing; Make a rematch. I don’t need a warm-up fight. I want a rematch.”

Broner needs to wake up and forget about fighting at welterweight, he barely beat feather fisted Malignaggi, he needs to step down to 140. He simply does not have the tools to be a force at 147 at this moment in time. Mayweather gradually worked his way up through the weight divisions as he matured, Broner simply jumped from lightweight to welterweight, skipping light welterweight believing he was untouchable. Now that that bubble has been well and truly burst, he needs to sit down with his team and think about what is best to get his boxing career back on track. An immediate rematch with Maidana would be a bad move, not that Maidana would even take it as there was no rematch clause in the contract. Maidana can sit back and demand big money if they desperately want a rematch and rightfully so.

Lol Broner. Just watched highlights of Maidana mercilessly clubbing away at him.
Congrats to Maidana, he deserves it.

And another lol at this quote from Broner: "I'm still going to live like we won the fight. I'm still going to party.". Right...

I missed this. Do like boxing but not enough to know everyone, hadn't heard of Broner before. Can't see any replays on Sky Sports at the mo so will look online.
